So, yeah, names are a pain in the posterior.
What we thought was a perfectly awesome, steampunk-themed, nerd-recognizable brewery name is definitely that, but also apparently just similar enough to something else that it could be problematic. We’re in the process of clarifying this and will update ASAP with the resolution.
…blarg, I need a beer

Suggestions can be made via Facebook, the website’s Contact Us page, or in person at our tasting room while enjoying a delicious brew. If your suggestion is chosen, you’ll win a cool swag pack of shirt, growler, logo glass, and some other merch all with the new name and design!
Neutral news first!
Tasting Room is Closed this Easter Sunday 3/31. Sorry for the late notice, we thought it wasn’t until April. It’s one of those ‘major holidays’ we take off from work to observe
Good news – we’ve got new brews this weekend:
More Good news:
Collaboration brewing rocks! We brewed ‘Collaborator’ Dopplebock with Breakwater Brewing on Saturday and it’s fermenting busily away in Tank #1. Expected arrival is May/June after lagering is complete on this mega malt bomber. Clock-in is estimated at around 7.3+% abv.
Less-than-Good news:
As some of you may know, we’re being forced to change our company name by the lawyers at Boston Beer. They feel the trademark of a brand of beer in their winter seasonal gift box (Old Fezziwig Ale) is being threatened by the existence of a Fezziwigs Brewing Company. We here personally disagree, but the tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees it would cost to successfully battle out the b/s in court means they win. Litigious much?
Maybe it’s a sign that you’ve officially ‘made it’ when a multi-billion dollar company threatens to drag you into federal court.
So does this mean we’ll stop brewing more and more of the delicious craft beer you all love? F*** no!
What it does mean is that we have to spend a bunch of time and money rebranding that we’d have much rather spent making delicious craft beer for you all to enjoy.
It also means time for a kickass ‘Grand Renaming Party’ in May!
So yeah, suck on that one, Boston.

Tasting room’s open this weekend regular hours, rain or shine. Bring it on Pacific Northwest weather system!
Voyager got brewed up during the storm last night, which is totally appropriate for this bigger hop and maltier take on the English IPA theme. Did someone say oak?
Marley’s Ghost is wrapping up fermentation, tasting even better than Dark Xmas, and tentatively scheduled for 3/23 if the yeast plays along.
We’re also in the process of installing a nitro tap and are looking forward to pouring a Nitro Umber next weekend.
Prost!
This Saturday (3/2) afternoon we’ve secured the delicious services of Oscar’s Meat Pie Shack to come up and do a food truck day at the tasting room! Hope to see you there ^_^
Just kegged up Annabelle’s Umber Ale – think brown ale meets an amber
